As 2020 comes to an end, I felt it would be appropriate time to thank everyone for their support over what has been a challenging year.
Covid-19 has had a significant impact on Portal Technologies, as it has other walks of life. Our business has had to adapt and overcome challenges. This is why I would like us to rewrite what we take away from this year and look for positives to take away and build on. This message seems even more appropriate with more government restrictions announcement over the weekend.
As a business owner, obstacles are often never far away to attempt to derail planned schedules. Our 2021 programme is adapting already, and the strength and experience we’ve been able to gather from 2020 means that the team here at Portal are well prepared.
It has given me a great source of energy, watching how everyone at Portal has adapted and overcome challenges in the past nine months. Often guiding each other through a period of life, that will live long in the memory of us all.
With these adaptations and challenges overcome, it meant we were in a position to add to the team. We are delighted to welcome Jack and Victoria to the support desk. This is a highlight of 2020 to look back on that gives me a great sense of personal pride to be able to support people in this manner during these times.
The new additions to our new team lead perfectly with the decision to relocate our office. After five successful years based at Glenbervie Business Park in Larbert, we were able to secure a base in the heart of Stirling. The move is again a decision we choose based on the long term vision of growth we are working hard to achieve.
The goal for the remaining part of the year is simple. Enjoy the holidays and take care of those that are important in our life. 2020 gave us lots of lessons to learn. It is also the source of our confidence going into 2021, where we will look to continue to support businesses across Scotland.
