Our Portal blog is different today as I share with you some team news. I often leave the blogs to our creative department as I work away from the limelight. So today is different as I want to take the time to say thank you to Sophie, who’s taking up a new role at the end of this week.
Sophie has been with Portal Technologies for six years, joining us in her first role as an Admin Apprentice. Over the years, the business has grown to support more clients with their IT Support (Portal Technologies) and the emergence of a new department in Portal Creative, specializing in web design and digital marketing. This growth has also meant we could see more of Sophie’s bubbly personality growing and become the friendly voice on the phone speaking to clients. She has made existing, and new customers feel welcome and supported over the years.
I read somewhere recently that the average person changes job every five years and feel fortunate that Sophie has been with us six years, supporting the growth not only of ourselves but also the clients that we support.
Of course, we are sad that she is leaving Portal Technologies, but we feel very proud that she is progressing her career with her new role in the NHS. Knowing all this, I know she will be a great asset to her new team, and I know the whole team at Portal wish her all the success in the future.
As for who will replace Sophie, the team and I have had several conversations and will be in touch with our clients at the end of the week with more details. For now, I want to thank Sophie for everything she has done in her time with Portal and the help she has given me.
