Portal Technologies Apprenticeship Program
Need some experience in the IT industry? Portal IT Services take on at least one Modern Apprentice every year, giving someone the opportunity to develop their skills and get real life experience within an IT company.
Even better … you earn while you learn!
Our Senior Technicians work closely with our apprentices on a day to day basis, ensuring they are getting a true reflection of the work carried out as a support technician. We believe the best way to learn is hands-on experience making this an effective learning approach.
We are looking for candidates that have a real passion for the IT industry and an eagerness to learn. The Portal apprentice scheme is customer facing so a flare for customer service and communication skills are essential.
Craig Millar
Managing Director
Craig began his career in the IT industry in 2002 and has since combined his passion for business and IT to move into the role of Managing Director at Portal Technologies. Craig was the original founders of CPL IT Services (now Portal Technologies) and has been a key factor to the significant growth it has seen over the last 7 years.
His wide range of expertise in the technology industry combined with his astute business mind puts him in prime position to assist businesses to become more efficient using technologies.
Craig is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and has further industry qualifications from CompTIA, HP, Toshiba and an HND in Computing Support.
In his spare time Craig can be found at gigs, eating out, or out on his motorbike.
